My grandfather, the dearly loved and always joyful Mackey Hill left us on Sept. 17th, 2009. He went to sleep hearing his children sing gospel hymns while he lay in his hospital bed.
Mackey was someone everyone wanted to know once he shared his exuberant smile.

I was honored to photograph him on his 100th birthday in May of 2009.
